      This year you will be totally “charmed” by the Hop. As a participant you will receive three free 5” x 5” Charm squares at each stop. If you make a $25.00 or greater purchase (before sales tax) in a shop you will receive an additional eight free charms for your collection! There are fabulous books and patterns being written that utilize a wide range of assorted charms – you could start your stitching with the table runner pattern in this year's Hop passport booklet.

    The Western Pennsylvania Shop Hop began in 2001. It has grown in scope each year, becoming the premier event it is today.

    A big thank you to all of you who have been a part of our past Western PA Shop Hops. For those of you who are new, a bit of explanation is in order. Our Shop Hop is a chance to visit fourteen shops within a 50 mile radius of Pittsburgh during four special days in June. This year, each unique stop will present their take on our 2008 Hop theme of “It’s a Party”.

    Your Passport is included within a wonderful booklet that has information and maps for each shop, along with some great recipes and free patterns. As you visit each shop make sure to get your passport stamped at each stop along the way and remember to turn in your completed passport, at your last stop, in order to be eligible for our Grand Prize Drawing!

      What would a great Shop Hop be without a special quilt to mark the occasion? So, each year we have a brand new quilt design based on the Shop Hop theme. Each store makes and displays their own version of the finished quilt- so you get a progressive quilt show too! As you visit each shop they will provide you will a free pattern for their block in the quilt and in some cases, setting information based on their quilt display.

     If you missed our great quilts from previous years, some of our participating shops still have their quilts on display, as well as, the patterns and kits available for purchase. Please check with any of our shops for availability.
